NW POTA Scramble

Time: Oct 9-11 2020

Place: Ocean Park, WA CN76

Friday:

Arrive  (Anytime after 12 PM)
Meet and greet
Setup antennas/ base station
Operate / BBQ
Gear show and tell

Saturday:

Start at 0900L with at least 7 operators to operate a minimum 10 contacts per park/per activator and wait for replacement coming from the last park before moving to the next park in a “round robin style” until all parks in the scramble have been activated by each operator.

For expedience once you set up your antenna at first location it will remain in place until the event is over. Just take your radio, power source, and log. Last person to activate the park will bring the antenna back to the cabin. (PL-259 to be standard connectors used, bring your own adapters)

All activator stations will attempt to make a Park to Park contact with all other stations in the scramble. (This completes 5 of the required contacts to activate a park)

Sunday:

Fox Hunt throughout Ocean Park peninsula. VHF/UHF (8 transmitters)
Operate from cabin
Log collection (ADIF format)
Farewell feast (local restaurant TBD)

Departure: Sunday evening or Monday morning

If you are flying in:
2.5 hours travel time from Portland airport
3.5 hours travel time from Seattle airport
